Hi, I’m Steph

Nice to meet you, I’m Steph, a fully certified dog trainer based in Colchester, Essex. I am a puppy training specialist, reactivity specialist, and body language specialist offering one-to-one dog training classes. I have a passion for, and lots of experience in, helping reactive dogs, and offer reactivity training as well as behavioural sessions. My aim is to help you succeed by building a bigger and stronger bond with your dog.

I started Dear Dogs as a dog walking business in July 2021 after hearing that many owners in my local community were in need of help. I grew up with dogs, and from my German Shepherd, Frazor, who was my companion in childhood, to my Springer Spaniel, Ralphie, and rescue Doxipoo, Henry, who I am lucky to have now, I enjoy interacting with a variety of breeds of all different sizes and from all walks of life. Dear Dogs evolved after a couple of grounding years of dog walking and pet sitting to become what it is today: a dog training business focussed on helping owners to combat their beloved pet‘s hidden needs, so that both dog and owner can enjoy a happy, fulfilling bond.
